Comprehensive Gas Fire Annual Service Checklist

Your gas fire will be fully inspected, tested, cleaned, and serviced by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Here’s what’s included:

1. Visual inspection of the gas fire’s external appearance, installation, and ventilation to ensure it meets current safety standards.

2. Operational check – firing up the gas fire to identify any faults in performance.

3. Internal inspection & cleaning:

   • Burner

   • Heat exchanger

   • Sensor/Spark probe

   • Primary injector

   • Reassemble internal parts and note defects

4. Flue inspection – check terminal and internal parts for leaks and ensure proper waste combustion removal.

5. Gas flue analyser test – adjust the gas valve for efficient combustion.

6. Gas tightness test – verify the system is sealed with no leaks.

7. Final reassembly – ensure the cover is secure and sealed correctly.

8. Service report – full documentation of the work completed and any remedial actions required, emailed to the gas fire owner.
